John was born in Ledbury, Herefordshire. He is a family man with four daughters and wife Helen. They run their business from home.
After discovering he had a natural talent for carving, what began as a hobby soon became John's vocation. He now produces wildlife wood-carvings, root sculptures, copper and stainless steel water features and wine racks, all of which are individually created using a variety of techniques. These include traditional mallet and gouge wood carving, and repaussé work.
Visitors are welcome to come and see John at work at his home workshop in Herefordshire. We also have a display area where visitors can view some of his designs.
John's work is inspired by the Art Noveau movement and follows their lead in finding his themes from his love of nature. He spends hours studying and appreciating natural animal and plant forms.
